I had a very interesting experience in the purchase of my 2004 G35 6MT Sedan. I was undecided about whether I wanted the Black Obsedian or Twilight Blue. The website colors were a little too vague for me. The local dealer who I orginally had been working with did not have the Twilight Blue in stock. It turns out that a dealer in Rochester, NY, about an hour away had the Twilight Blue 6MT on the lot. I spoke to a salesman, who while knowing I was from Buffalo, and may not buy from him, took the time to go outside and take digital pictures of the car for me. He even shined up a portion of it to try and give me the best idea possible. Well, I still couldn't tell if I like the Blue better than the Black. So, I took a ride out to see the car. I was very upfront with him and the local dealer that I was in touch with both dealers. When I got there, he was very friendly. When he heard I hadn't driven the 6MT yet, he offered to let me take it for a ride.

After the ride, and looking at the blue some more, I was sold. I explained to him that I loved the car, but I did want to give my local dealer a chance to try and find the Blue one for me, since I had been in touch with them first. He was very professional and cool about the whole thing. When my local dealer was unable to find the Blue anywhere, but in Rochester, this salesman even game his thumbs up on a dealer trade taking place so I could buy from my local dealer. WOW, talk about putting the customer first. To me, this is what a car salesman SHOULD be like.

If you live in Rochester, NY or do not like your local dealer for some reason, this guy is someone I would highly recommend.

I ordered my 2004 6mt sedan from Dorschel for delivery in November (desert platinum with graphite) before the new 2004 colors were announced; since then I've been thinking that Diamond Graphite would have been a better choice.

It turns out they got in an '04 6mt DG sedan equipped exactly like I ordered into stock, so I went over today and decided to buy it.

I have been very happy with the overall level of service and professionalism at the dealer so far. They have been very pleasant to work with. Plus, no haggling because I'm eligible for the VPP pricing.

I'll be picking up the car next Thursday, but so far, Dorschel gets a thumbs up.

I live in St. Louis, Missouri and also had a great dealer experience when I bought my 03' sedan. Went to Plaza Infiniti here in town. I had a truck for trade-in, which they gave me an excellent value for, and there was no pressure whatsoever from the salesman. I actually went back and talked to him 3 or 4 times over a months period during my decision making process. They also sell BMW and Lexus, so I was able to compare the cars side by side and test drive them all quickly.

Anyway, if you live in Missouri and are looking at any Infiniti purchases, I would highly recommend Plaza Infiniti, the salesman that worked with me was Mike Barnstead. My parents have subsequently purchased an FX45 from him and also had a smooth experience.
