New to forum could use help with rim decison

Hey, just joined the forum becasue i just got a '06 g35 sedan dark blue.

I would like to get some rims for my car but what really goes with the dark blue color? color and style?

also

I could use some help with what paint to get for painting calipers and what color would best match rims + color of my car.

Thanks

Ps i have 20% tint all around

Safe option is going with silver rims which always looks good, but if you want to be more sporty you could try black rims with a polished lip...

try www.tirerack.com to see what different rims looks like on your car...

I've looked on tire rack before, saw some that looked good, my big decision is either hypersilver/black/Chrome, and within those, something like 5 star rims or something that looks like the hp evo's

Sounds like you have narrowed it down, go with what you like the best... As far as getting other members specific opininons, you will find that 10 will like silver 10 will like black and 10 will like chrome, so in the end you need to pick what suits you the best....

Good luck...

DrkBLuG35Sdn,

As G35keg mentioned, pick and choose what ultimately pleases you. Silver is always a safe bet. I am sure that whatever you choose will look great.

Congrats on your new G and welcome to the Driver boards. I trust you enjoying your new G and having a blast. Enjoy!

I believe the normal silver or gun metal wheels will look best on a blue.

Im sure there are a few good examples out there, but me personaly, I've yet to see a car that look good with there rims painted to match the car paint. Everytime I've seen this its looked ghetto and cheap looking.... But i've been seeing more and more people go this route latly, seems to be a trend at the moment.

Hey DrkBlue welcome to the forum.

I vote Hyperdark aka Gunmetal for your dark blue G.

as for caliper paint, DupliColor makes a kit that comes with everything you need, I have seen it in Red, Blue, and Silver but it might come in different colors as well. It is really easy to use and you can also get some infiniti brake caliper decals to finish the BBK look. The kit is available online and at most automotive parts stores like autozone.

Have you looked through the show me your wheels thread at the top of the sedan forum? Go through and find wheels you like.

Post up some pics of your G here!

Definitely, Definitely, Definitely get GUNMETAL WHEELS.

Tell us how much you want to spend for wheels and tires and we can offer some realistic suggestions

Just look around on this forum and see as many pictures that you can find. Even post in the picture forum under photoshop thread and maybe one of the guru's can photoshop some of your chosen rims onto your car. I have seen some gold color wheels on the dark blue G that looked sweet. Again, this is a personal thing and good luck
