Help beating a e430

My friend keeps boasting and boasting about his stupid v8 e430 and wants to race my 06 g35. both of us are auto and i would really like a crash course in how to race. um i would prefer not to screw up my car that bad doing it but then again it is a lease so im really not that worried. How can i launch and whe should i shift without really screwing over my car?

thanks

are you auto??
if your auto hold the brake until 1500-2000 and release, use MM, shift at redline so by the time the computer shifts its at a good shift point. other than that, mash the gas....

He was talking about the big V8 equipped E430; not a Maxima.. i dun understand why you make such an example ......

Edit: My bad... But well, I think some maxima run low 14 seconds stock...tooo; so yah, you are right, he should have no problem with the e430

I destroyed my friend's E500 with my auto G on the freeway. We started at 50 mph and I just kept pulling on him, shut it down at 100 mph and was 3-4 cars ahead.

If your starting from a roll put the car in Manual Mode and leave it at gear 3. Also, turning off your VDC will help you get an even better launch, but beware, because it is off it won't help you during cornering if u skid out...so it's up to you whether you want it on or off.

Keep your foot on the brake, and push on the gas until you reach 1800 RPM.

Release the brake and mash the gas, see E430 in your rearview.

The E500 runs low 14s in the quarter... same as a G35. About an equal race.

It was my friend's mom's E500....first year of the new body, I believe a 2003.

I am not kidding, we started at 50 mph and I just pulled and pulled...ended AT LEAST 3 cars ahead.

I have a g35 auto and my mom has a CLS500 with 7gear auto tranny. After driving both back to back the 5.0L benz with 7g tranny from 60+ = bye bye G. Runs a 13.9-14.0 @ 100/101 range.
