They don't have to ask for the color, they know from the VIN. Red cars don't demand a higher premium (unless they're sports/luxury cars of course).

Doh, of course the VIN number tells them that.....temporary brain lapse on my part.

Nice shot! But I just saw something that's bothering me: Look at the hood line up front. Don't you guys think the hood was "cut" too short? I mean there is a huge gap between the hood and the grille. Almost reminds me of cars from the 70's with that "bathtub" engine bay they used to have.

Thoughts?

I noticed that as well Daniel. If you look at the high res pic, you will see that it is not just an empty gap between the hood and the front. There is a rubber spacer of some sort between the two pieces. It is along the entire front and goes half way up the headlight housing to where the front meets the quarter panels.

That's probably the only part of the new G that I'm not that crazy about (how the hood meets up with the bumper). But as more and more cars are designed to meet the European pedestrian impact safety standards, I think we're gonna' see more rounded and less deinfed front ends on all cars sold, or those that might be sold, in the EU.

The new G has a new dual latching front hood on either side, instead of a single center one like on most cars. Also, new front impact standards for humans have changed the way carmakers impliment their designs.
