Shane, and I disagree with an earlier post that it looks cheap, it adds class to the G!

Wow, I think the wood is some of the best looking in any car. I love the satin finish and interesting grain pattern. The high gloss wood finish in many other cars make it seem like cheap plastic. But, I'm a woodworker hobbyist, so maybe I just appreciate these things differently.

^WHS +1
If this is anything like the wood in the M, it's 10x better than *anything* else I've seen.

Looks much more natural & refined.....
I have a definite dislike for that other hi gloss plastic schite.

The "wood" handles and shifter in the '04, were glossy, but they looked like wood, which they were, not plastic, it was birdseye maple, and not two of the pieces looked identical, maple has a texture to it that cannot be mistaken for plastic, I do like the rosewood better though.

I guess it's the finish that is throwing me off. I'm a big fan of the "stuff" used in Bimmers as of late. The flat finish in the Bimmers looks beautiful, the lacquered finishes also look beautiful. Maybe it's the way that the wood is integrated into the dash of the Infiniti? Not sure.

Maybe I need to see it in person. The car I sat in back in August had the faux paper look alluminum which I also though looked fake, they didn't have the wood..
It looks decent here- By the way, there's the snow button for the X
