Wow....Infiniti's really pushing those Journey models (makes sense since it'll be the volume seller). Surprised to see only 1 Sport and no AWD models.

 

I find that strange that you didn't order any Garnet Embers at all. Any reason?

 

max2k1- I am trying to find out the same thing. I think towards the end of November.

DaCurryMan-Yes, Infiniti is really pushing the Journey models, but these vehicles were ordered before my arrival and the next batch should have more SPORT models. AWD cars will be also be available, but the market here really doesn't seem to demand it. Perhaps it's the weather.

canuck-I don't believe Infiniti USA offers that color, but we do have Garnet Fire which may be what you're talking about. These cars were already ordered when I arrived on the scene, but we will be ordering more variety soon. The Garnet Fire looks hot on the coupe as well.

 

Actually, Garnet Ember is available in the US, there are even pictures on Infiniti USA's website of the new Sedan in Garnet Ember. IMO, Garnet Ember looks much better than the old Garnet Fire. Alot sportier red I find. Also, Garnet Fire was never available on the Coupe, just Laser Red.

My apologies, it appears that color is available, we just do not have any stock of that color incoming...

 

I called Infіniti of Elk Grove (near Sacramento) on Saturday to be put on their "interest" list for E-mail notification when they get some cаrs in. The salesperson I talked to had their list of the 20 cаrs they expected to get by mid-November. One was a Sport MT, much to my surprise. It'll have a spoiler, though, which makes it a non-starter for me.

 

Infiniti of Fairfield, as in Fairfield CT?

AKA Devan Infiniti?

 

As in California, between San Francisco and Sacramento.

Interesting that the dealer is in CT and each car says 50 State emission. I had thought that CT was one of the NE states that did the Calif. emissions, like NY/MA/ME/VT. I guess it's not of major consequence, but I believe a California resident can NEVER register a non-Cali spec car, new or used. Someone who moves to Cali. can register the 50-state car provided they prove it was registered previously outside of CA.

I was going to got to NYC specifically to get the Cali emissions on the 335, but because of the free loaner deal I ordered the car locally in Philly and they price-matched. I found the northern NJ dealerships to be the most agressive--you don't return a phone call and suddenly the price is $300 cheaper. I'd imagine Infinitis would be the same. That salesman (an unnamed NJ dealership) that blew me off on a 2k7 G35S is now leaving messages and emails daily!

 

To clear the confusion:

We are located in Fairfield, California between San Francisco and Sacramento. 20 minutes North of Oakland, 40 minutes south of Sacramento. Definately in California!

Now that's even more interesting!! That would imply that a "50 State Car" is in fact a CA car, obviously. I've heard the way to tell is to lift the hood and the word "California" will be on the emissions label. It absolutely must have the word California to be a CA car. But on a window sticker etc. maybe different...my .02.
