I get my Platinum Graphite G on Nov 17, turn 34 on Nov 20, and have a daughter arriving Nov 23 (hopefully it goes in that order).

Now that I see I am an elder statesman on this board, I thought I would bust out a pic of my first car. A 1982 Plymouth Sapporo that my dad got for me! It was a pretty good car as long as you didn't mind getting a bump start a couple times a week. I had to carry a stick in my car to bang the starter into submission every now and then. In reflection, I think this could have been considered child abuse!

Nah, age doesn't matter on any of the Infiniti models.

Canuck, what were your first few cars?

For 18 years of driving, I really haven't had too many cars.

1. 1986 V6 Mustang. I bought this a month before I turned 16. It was a real POS. Had problem after problem with it.

2. 1986 Toyota MR2. I had two 86 MR2s. They were an absolute blast to drive and and handled better than any other car I've owned. I totalled one of the MR2s from hitting a deer and then going off the road hitting a cement culvert. I owned the second MR2 for 12 trouble free years. Talk about reliability. Never did one single thing to it in 12 years outside of routine maintenance.

3. 1998 Wolfsburg Jetta. I loved this car but sold it because my local dealership treated me like **** and I sold it out of spite. I had a few issues with it.

4. 2003 Nissan Altima. This was such a great car. I had all intentions of keeping this for a long time but only had it 11 months because I fell in the love with the G.

5. 2003 G35. I LOVE this car, hence the reason I ordered an 07.

6. 2000 Infiniti QX4. I bought this last year as a winter vehicle and still have it. Not one problem with it yet.

59 next month, one of the four (so far) really OF's in the poll.

My first two cars were Nissаn products - a 1966 Dаtsun 411 sedan ($1600 new) and a 1973 Dаtsun 510 ($3300 new, with dealer A/C). I still have the 510, btw, after 33 years. http://members.accessbee.com/dwphillips/
