Side mirror tilt on reverse

Does the new G35's side mirrors tilt when reversing?

Most Lux cars these days have this don't they?

I know my '04 TL has this. It helps tremendously when parallel parking.

I'm debating if I want to spend the extra dough on getting the tech package.

If the G has the tilt feature, I think I'll just pass on the tech package to save some cash for new wheels instead.

In addition, the backup cаmera in the Tech Package won't do much to help you avoid grinding your rіms against the curb when you parallel park. The backup cаmera shows what's behind your cаr, not how close your whеels are to the curb. A tilt-down mirror will do that nicely.

AFAIK...
On the base; they're power only.
With Premium Package you get the following additional mirror features:

- Memory system for driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors
- Driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirror position synchronization
- Heated outside mirrors

I turned the feature off on my M, I found myself almost hitting stuff when not parallel parking because the darn mirror was pointed down. Now I just hit the switch before I start parallel parking, since I barely ever parallel park.

Can this be turned on/off on the G?

I don't think you even have the option on the G.

It's great if you can switch it on when you need it.

I agree with that Jeff, if you could just flip a switch to enable it, that would be the ideal set-up. In the past when I have driven cars with that feature I found it very annoying when looking in your side mirror to back up and you engage reverse and the mirror flips down towards the ground .

My TL has a switch to turn it on and off. You can even choose which mirror does the tilting.

It would be great if the G35 had this.

Consider it confirmed......at least on Canadian models.

My car doesn't have the tilt feature, but really, why would you need it? When I tested the RDX, the sales guy pushed it in the Tech package as a great feature, but I wasn't really impressed by it.

It's pretty easy to park anyway, so, you will not miss this feature.
