I don't know if I've just missed it but did the reclining rear seats go away for the 2007 sedan? It was a unique option for the G when it came out in '02.

Weird...I seem to recall the floor model in Miami having rear seat recline...

I could be wrong, though. 07 owners, confirm?

I'm surprised. With all of the new gadgetry in the '07 I would have thought that feature would have stuck around. Do the rear seats fold down in an '07?

I was told by my salesman that reclining rear seats were sacrificed in order to keep the weight as low as possible. The second gen G is heavier than the first gen, but they wanted to stay as close as possible.

No, but it was a pretty cool and exclusive feature.

I really couldn't care less for the reclining seats (albeit it WAS a nice feature). I am more disappointed with the fact that they don't fold down like in almost any sedan these days...

No, recline/fold over was a SAFETY issue. To get a 5* frontal crash rating, you can't have stuff in the trunk, smashing through to the passenger cabin.

The couldnt build strong enough latches? My Civic has folding seats and 5-star frontal crash rating...

Maybe more weight to the whole structure, to reinforce, when it has folding/reclining back seats?
