Brake Dust On The 07?

For those of you that have taken delivery of your 07, how do you find the brake dust is so far? That is one thing that I curse about my 03. I am just curious if I can expect the same/less/more brake dust than my 03.

So far not too bad. The color of the wheels and the fact they kind of buldge out I think helps. Nothing like my '03 which I finally put on these new pads and had almost zero brake dust.

Shane, I would be really disapointed if the '07 brakes reverted to being dusty and fast wearing, my '05 has never had a dust problem, or a fast wear problem, from the test drive, the brakes feel about the same as my car, not at all grabby, nice and progressive!

Well, even if it's not a problem you may see some dust during break-in, I know I saw a little on mine in the first 1000 miles or so, but none after that.

Believe me, if it was a problem, you'd see it in 1 day!

Thanks for sharing guys, that is good news. That is my biggest gripe that I have had with my 03. Cleaning the brake dust off of my wheels almost daily gets to be a real PITA!

I agree Shane, a royal PITA......
While a very simple thing....Swapping out the pads was one of the best things I did.

I have only had my pads changed once and it was under warranty....so that is the reason that I continued to live with it.

If dust is not a problem with the 07s, then I am gonna find that a real treat. Besides, it looks like the Sport wheels would be a PITA to clean all the time anyways.

I should have done that with my front pads. It is a pita keeping the fronts dust free.
I think the X was the only model left in 2005 that still had a slight dusting problem up front since they retained the smaller brakes from 04. All the other models from 05 and newer appear to be dust free.
