Woot! Rims will be here today!

UPS showing they will be delivered today

19 inch Volk SF Challenge's, 8.5F, 9.5R

Probably going to be a week or two before I get them on the car. Got to go to the tire shop and check to make sure eveything fits before getting tires mounted and then I'll probably have to order tires I want and wait for them
to get here.

I'm not getting my hopes up until I see the rims on the car. I've talked to about 10 different places that sell Volk RIMs and gotten different offsets recommendations from every place I talked to. They changed the rear fender wells on the 07 Sedan. So I'm figuring I have about a 10% chance of the RIMs actually fitting. Guess someone has to be the guinea pig.

But if you go by the calculator at:
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

OEM 18 inch RIMS are:
-Front 18" x 7.5" with 45mm offset
-Rear 18" x 8.5" with 50mm offset

My Volk 19 inch RIMS are:
-Front 19" x 8.5" with 34 mm offset
-Rear 19" x 9.5" with 40 mm offset

Using the calculator, the new Volk RIMs will have

-Front = -2mm inner clearance, +24mm outer clearance
-Rear = -3mm inner clearance, +23mm outer clearance

So basically the front and rear tires will "stick out" a little less than an inch more than stock 18's.

The -2mm less inner clearance on the front should not be a problem. Eyeballing tells me there's probably about an inch clearance between the
stock 7.5 inch front rim and the suspension.

and if the OEM RIMS are:
-Front 18" x 7.5" with 45mm offset (225/50R18, summer only, W-speed rated)
-Rear 18" x 8.5" with 50mm offset (245/45R18, summer only, W-speed rated)

Then compared to OEM:

F: 8.5 with 34mm offset = Same inner clearance, +26mm outer clearance

R: 9.5 with 40mm offset = 3mm less inner clearance, +23mm outer clearance

So basically the front and rear tires will "stick out" about an inch more than stock.
How flush do the stock wheels sit? If they are tucked in a bit, you may be ok.

The OEM wheels are tucked in about about 3/4 of an inch on the front and back.

Update... Wheels arrived yesterday. I was expecting them to look nice but damn, they are beyond nice. Have to give credit to Ray's wheels. These wheels just reek quality.

When I told my wife I was getting aftermarket wheels for my new G she frowned and said something to the effect of why in the world would I want to mess up such a nice car with aftermarket wheels? I guess when she heard aftermarket RIMS she was thinking 22 wheels with spinners or something.

But when I opened up the new Volks she was like Damn! Those are nice!
That's not what I was expecting when you said aftermarket wheels.

I've still got to get the tires. Have decided to go with Falken FK-452's.

Will probably order the tires Monday and assuming I can find them in stock I
may have them by the end of the week.

May be the following week before I get them mounted.
