So it's been a month or two....

Not to be the devil's messenger, but I AM about to place an order for a first year model and was wondering if any of the first few owners we have here, have noticed any problems with their new 07's.

I'm not talking about minor annoyances (such as location of certain things, or looks, or anything else that is subjective), but rather real problems that you have already witnessed.

Not that I'm expecting this car to be a disaster - quite the opposite. Just out of simply curiosity.

Daniel, of all the threads on here that I have read from members that have already taken delivery, there doesn't seem to be any alarming issues. The only issue that I have heard is in the thread below, and I would consider that quite minor.

My only problem has been gas mileage which I feel can be fixed with a reprogram of the computer. Otherwise the car has been perfect! Can't wait till I have 1200 miles so I can drive it like I stole it. :D

Zippo. I talked to the dealer about this (first year model) and he reminded me that actually most of the technology is not brand new. The M's got the smart key and bluetooth etc. before the G, the FM platform is largely the same, and you rarely have to worry about a Nissan VQ.

:p (smiley chosen by my 4-year-old)

Yes, this does sound like a minor issue. :)

I bought 2 first year models, my old Maxima and my G, no problems for me.

DO IT!!!! And get the 6MT!!!!

My only major problem is trying to get some sleep. I find myself reading the owner's manual and the voice command cheat sheet late at night. :)

W/ regards to the gas mileage...I rolled past 900 miles today and have noticed the gas mileage improving while I baby the engine less and less. Zero problems noted. I recommend you don't buy though. Once you do you'll find yourself making excuses to go for a drive...out of milk, need more 9volt batteries, *** is cold and in neeed of warming up, stuff like that.

I've had mine for almost a month and it hasn't been in the shop for any tweaks (yet). ;)

No problems other than the loose rubber thing on the edge of the sunroof. I pressed it back on and it has not come off again. I suspect it may not have been pressed on securely at the factory.

The only other complaint I would have is the heated seats. The seat heaters in my wifes Ford Expedition will literally burn your butt if you don't turn them off in a few minutes.

I was expecting the same in the G35 but the heaters in the G35 seats only get a little warm in the seat back area but there's very little heat in the seat cushion after 5-10 minutes. As is, there's really not much point using the seat heaters. By the time the seats would get warm from the heaters the car will have warmed up to the point that you really don't need them.
