Anyone know Infiniti's policy on custom paint?

Let's say I wanted to order an 07 G35. Anyone think for more $ they would paint it Silver Graphite, which is unfortunately only offered on the QX56?

I'm assuming Infiniti would say no, just curious if there's a possibility.

Anything outside their production colors would be a definite no.........IMO.

A dealer will do anything you want for a price. But as far as factory sprayed? I don't think its a possibility.

No would be the right answer. The manufacturer would not want to start something like that. It would be nightmare of custom orders on all different vehicles with dealers and customers wanting unique combos.

mmm ya an nightmare like it use to be when you ordered an American car until the 70's. I remember my mother ordering a 1970 Grand Prix with Silver metalic paint, Silver landau top and a silver leather interior. She then had black pin stripping and piping inside the car. It was stunning w/ every option you could get including an 8 track. All special order but they key was you could get it. Unfortunately its not even an option now.

I guess my only hope is that Infiniti adds Silver Graphite to their color selection for the 08 MY.

SG is such a sweet *** shade of dark gray. It was what I thought Platinum Graphite was going to be. I know it would look smokin on the new G.

Yeah true enough. I guess you have to give up some custom ordering capability for the benefit of much higher quality fit and finish, overall engineering and just package options nowadays.

Oh, I'm sure it could be done by the dealership (with a custom interior color as well - order black and recover in brick or peanut butter, perhaps) but like BMW's "Individual" program on it's M cars, the price you pay is a pretty penny - the average one spends on getting an "Individual" M car with a custom paint/interior averages between $15-20k... I would expect it would cost closer to $10k on the G though...
