G35x wheels

Does anyone know if my 17x7 wheels from my 2003 g35 will fit on the 2007 g35x? The 2007 g35x spec says 17x7-1/2. Are the bolt patterns different?

My '07 has a promised delivery of this Thursday(11/30).

Related question, probably covered many times here, do I need winter tires on the AWD?

Thanks for any help,

Lee

Hi Lee, welcome to the board. Yes, your 03 wheels will fit on the 07. Also, if you drive in snowy/icy conditions I would definitely recommend winter tires.

Have fun on Thursday picking up your new G.

Hi Lee, the question of winter tires on the AWD G sedan is one that I myself had asked several different people. I took delivery of my G on Thursday and I can absolutely tell you that I need winter tires. It all depends on the type of winter conditions you will be driving in. The Eagle RS-A tires that come on the x stock absolutely suck for stopping on ice. Calgary reached an amazing high of -19 degrees celcius today and I found it difficult to stop at many intersections. I even found my back end kicking out a couple of times as I took off from a light.

Winter tires are a must on ANY car that may drive in cold wintry conditions.

Thanks, guys. My Chicago suburban weather is not too far from Canadian.

My salesman had told me that he had checked with his mechanics who said the bolt pattern was different between '03 sedan and '07 X. The question is important because I pay to have my winter wheels and tires stored, and now I have to decide which wheels and tires to put on the car when I trade it in this week. If the wheels and tires will fit the X, then the decision is obvious; I keep the snows and the better after market rims.

Thanks again,

Lee

The lugnuts are different on the 07's, they have a shank lugnut that may not work with non-07 wheels. The shank lugnuts also have a small 60º seat, for use with the spare tire; though I am not sure how it will work with an aluminum wheel, or if they will even fit in the holes.
