Base vs Sport

I'm debating wheter the Sport is worth the extra 2k. This is what I gather is offered in the Sport. Please let me know if i'm missing anything

- different front bumper
- paddle shifters
- sport seats
- bigger wheels
- bigger brakes
- dual temp control
- more options available

The only things that intrique me about the sport are the paddle shifters and the seats.

I think the dual temp control is a premium package thing, and on sport you also get different side sills.

I think it's a bargain for the seats alone, but I also prefer how the sport bumper and sills look more aggressive. I had to get the sport cause I needed a 6-speed .

FlyingG is right, dual temp is actually a Journey thing.

Added to your list:
W-rated summer tires
Stiffer suspension
Limited slip rear-end
Theoretically higher top-end.

All I can say is the Sport seats alone make the sport package worth every single penny!!

+1

The extra comfort and support provided by the sport seats is more than worth it.

It still AMAZES me that Infiniti kept the price of the 07 virtually the same as the 06 but yet offers all these upgrades in comfort, performance, and technology. I still cannot get over how comfortable the Sport seats are......easily the most comfortable seats of ANY car that I have ever owned.

I wouldn't go THAT far... Surely, they can't be better than the "almighty" 335....

The LSD is worth the price alone. Believe me, you will want that if you ever begin to upgrade the power and/or suspension. It's a dramatic difference in any condition and it's not just for drifting. Add up how much the LSD, seats, wheels would cost in aftermarket and you will quickly see the value. Plus in 6 months, you will be able to get a sport for the same price as people are paying for the journey today.

Easy way to decide is to drive them both: the paddle shifters, sport seats, bigger wheels, bigger brakes, larger W-rated summer tires, stiffer suspension, limited slip rear-end should all tell you something. If they don't , you likely will never miss them.

Funny thing, I dropped my G off to the dealer to have the splash guards put on and some of my 3M bra redone. They loan me an '06 X to drive. No offense but I hated driving the '06. The power was fine but the seats were uncomfortable, I didn't like the interior or orange dash. I couldn't wait until I got my '07 G back!

They are two different cars. Yes, I am now spoiled!

Aee man, I almost had "sport" out of my head. The G35 coming in on Friday only has premium/tech pkg with the upgraded rims. The dealer said don't worry, you wouldn't miss the sport much. You really wouldnt use the paddles except for the first few days you had the car, and LSD isn't needed unless youre racing. He didnt mention the seats or steering wheel.

Uhhhh-hmmmm. Who are his customers? Look for another dealer IMO. His statement is rididulous.

Of course he'd say that crap. He just wants you to stop delaying and buy whatever he's got in stock!

Sport seats, and LSD are what will make the difference. Plus you'll know you got the nicest thing out there. And resale value will be alot better.
