Now Wayne, did I whet your appetite that way when I got the new M......practically making it impossible to avoid temptation?

(don't answer that question)

But I do look forward to caressing your G's touch-screen your G next spring.......I have a sneaking hunch that I'll love it as much as I think I do....

Too late Deane, sorry. It's already on order. It should be in by Christmas...

But no, the M isn't going anywhere.......any time soon......

That's coming out to see you in April/May.

Does the touchscreen feature also work for audio and climate controls when you have the Navi package?

Actually you can only see the fingerprints when the car/screen is off.
Or use driving gloves!

Does anyone have a recommended pair - good for winter, great for driving?

For cleaning it's usually a terrycloth washcloth, relatively new, 100% cotton, careful not to get the trim near it. A good sock like a Thorlo inside out can also work, or even a good t-shirt that you can use on your glasses.

I generally use anything handy around me that is somewhere above the quality of what I'd use to clean glass, but lesser than what I'd use to clean my Canon lenses : )

Monster ScreenClean works like a charm I haven't found anything that works better for cleaning LCDs.

Have you got a website, Troy, or a common place to buy that?

Colin, another suggestion, the cleaner that you use for your tinted windows works fine also. That is what I have always used on our big screen and also our lcd computer screen. Most importantly it does not contain ammonia.

Monster ScreenClean should be available anywhere that sells Monster Cables (BestBuy, FutureShop, RadioShack etc.). It's not cheap but it does a great job and is gentle on the screen. If you buy it just use 1 or 2 pumps directly onto the MF cloth. I bout my bottle almost 2 years ago and there's more than half left.

FutureShop.ca ScreenClean $29.99 - Free Shipping in Canada

The best and cheapest method for cleaning LCD screens is strait up Windex or any mild glass cleaning product. The key is to not use a paper towel because they are rough. As mentioned above, nothing beats a 100% cotton t-shirt or sock, but if you notice streaking left behind it's because your shirt/sock has way too much fabric softener, wash without liquid fabric softer and don't use a dryer sheet. And don't spray directly on the screen, spray it on the shirt/sock/cloth.

If your looking for the best solution, get a good micro-fiber cloth, such as one by Cobra. http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-deluxe...ber-towel.html or this one (yes it's better) http://www.autogeek.net/ww1627.html

Don't waste money on LCD screen cleaning kits that give you 1oz of Windex which costs 11 cents and a $3.00 cloth for $30.00 or more.
