Rattle?

Anyone else have an annoying rattle coming from the passenger side dash area? It almost sounds like someting rolling around in the glove box.

do you have the garage door opener stuff on the rear view mirror? I think mine might be coming from there. I planned on taping those in place and going on a bumpy road to test but during one of my drives i thought it was that so i held all the buttons in place with one hand and the rattles seemed to have stopped.

the sound was really deceptive though, as it sounded like it came from the passenger side dash. my wife said she thought like it came from the driver side dash when we were driving around together so that got me thinking that maybe it was in the middle somewhere and echoing.

Unfortunately, now i won't be able to test til my car gets back from the body shop.

Mine is definitely dash/a-pillar related. I can't tell too well exactly where it's coming from, since i've never sat on the passenger side while driving. But driving in empty streets, i leaned over and applied some pressure on the dash, and the rattle went away.

Non here except for the rattle caused by my radar detector vibrating against the glass.

Make sure it's not loose rubber trim on edges of sunroof. It took me a while to find it. Sounded like it was coming from passenger door but it was
the rubber trim on edge of sunroof.

I will try to check out the locations suggested. Here is one other potential source - the glove box itself. If i push in on the right side, it makes a little sound. Like others have said, I've not traveled in the passengers seat to really investigate.

I think I found it while leaning over, try pushing in around or on the passenger side vent by the A pillar

had the same experience with the overhead glass holder- it "broadcasts" and is good source of arguments with passengers about the source being on the other side of the car!

You can't imagine how many times I've had soda cans in my car or sunglasses and they would rattle and I'd freak out thinking it was somewhere in the dash or in the rear, and then my wife would just grab the soda can and the rattle would disappear.... LOL!
