'07 G35 sales data
Do you guys have any info on how '07 G35 sales are doing? The reason I ask is because anictdotally, I think they must be a bit slow. Here's my reasoning:
Yes I know it's a brand new model, etc, but I live in the tri-state area (CT,NY,NJ) and have spent the last week literally traversing all three for various family/friend engagements (throw PA in the mix as well) and have not seen a single '07 G35. If you guys are familiar with the tri-state area, you know that everyone and their brother drive a mid to high end car. There are more bimmers, lexus, audi, infiniti cars on the road than you can shake a stick at. So either everyone who bought one so far had Christmas at home, drove their old car to Grandma's house, or haven't bought the car yet.
I'm really curious just to know if dealers are going to start cutting more aggressively and sooner than originally anticipated. That being said, Curryman and Slick were already able to negotiate pretty aggressively due to the large number of dealers in the tri-state area (which also should argue for more of 'em on the road), but I'm wondering if this is a national trend of slower sales.
Thanks in advance.

December sales obviously haven't been released yet, but November sales were very good. As per Nissannews.com:
"November sales of the G sports sedan totaled 4,299, a nearly 30 percent increase over November 2005. These numbers resulted in the best-ever November for G sales, and the second best month since the G sedan was introduced in 2002."

The dealer closest to me just hasn't been allocated very many yet. The ones that have arrived have all been pre-sales and are gone. There is not a single '07 sedan to be bought if you wanted one. You're not seeing any because there just haven't been many to hit US shores so far (at least on the west coast).
I'm going to see a pre-sold one tonight before the owner picks it up tomorrow just to see if I need to go the 335 route. The 335 is more, but if history is any guide, the resale retention will make up the difference and then some. If the G gets the nod, I will wait until they got a dozen or more sitting around. No hurry as my 03.5 runs just fine.

i dont think thats really impressive... When a car is released and hyped up prior to being released, I think it would kinda be a flop to not have one of the best sales months. the new G was released in November... Of course it should be the second best (if not the first best) sales month for the G series ever.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe the car not getting as enthusiastic review as the first gen has something to do with it, cuz when I got my '04 (in late '03) they were all over the place.
