Im going to buy rims, i have a black on black 07 sedan. i dont know if i should get ALLOY, BLack w/ chrome lip or CHROME. my car is black with chrome accents! this is so hard ! help! i am looking at the MRR GT1s

IMO the MRR GT1s look pretty sweet in the black w/ chrom lip, kinda what I'm looking for but I'm only going to step up to 18s for summer on my X. The chrome are a little too blingy for my taste, but at the end of the day it's your ride.

In my personal opinion i have a black on stone i'm going 20" black with chrom lip when i get the money I think it looks tight. If i was you i would do the 19" with chrom lip as well. I think the black on black Night Rider look is awsome thats just me tho

 

Just please don't get chrome, it looks terrible and outdated. Otherwise, anything would probably look okay.

 

I third the MRR GT1s, black with polished lip. Only because you have a black car. Black wheels look great on black cars.

I have seen some cars with black and black rims w/chrome lip and it looks really good. Also all chrome rim looks good too. Its going to be your choice.

 

My personally opinion, I don't like wheels to overly stand out, so definitly no chrome, I think chrome is cheap & Bling-Bling looking. and the black is OK, but looks like it's trying to hard to be special...

I'd say see if dealer will order stock 18's, or if you really want a new set, then go Alloy, keep it subtle. 19's stand out just on their size, adding black or chrome pushes it out of "classy" look in my opinion.

edit: Check into some stock Infiniti alloy's designed for the M or FX too... I've see a few pic's of those and they look good.

 

I know I will be outvoted but chrome all the way. Those look awesome in Chrome.

 

ahhahah ttrank your funny, like i think that the black looks cheapish, but it does look coool and chrome matches the chrome on my car but it is also bling blingyyy and the alloy is nice but like is very subtle and i ahve chrome on my car so i dunno! this poll is def going to make my mind up! so please be honest!

 

I like the chrome. The spokes are thin enough that it won't look overly chromed out like some 22 inch SUV rims would. I like the black too, but I don't think our cars have enough offset to show a lot of silver lip like that picture. I'd be afraid it'd be too much black.

 

IMO your rims should have a contrast to the color of your car and not be the same color.. let it stick out...
Chrome just reminds me of ghetto *** car where the rim is worth more than there car...( just my opinion)
get something suttle that you wont get sick of so quickly..
