For those who take brake in seriously i personally laugh at u from my work place.
Im sure if u ask infiniti if chirping 1-2 or 2-3 is good or not they are going to say NO!. Or ask them if u take a corner, whose recommended speed is 25, at 45 mph they are going to say no, too much stress on the chassis can result in suspension failure.
Did a hard canyon run with 200 miles on the car, keeping the rpms over 4500 at all times and 34k on the car its running like a clock. I just have tendency to change synthetic oil every 3500 - 4000 miles, instead keeping it over 5k.

Seems everyone's got a different opinion on the best way to do the break-in, but I'm inclined to follow the manufacturer's suggestion. Below is an excerpt from the 2007 G35 Sedan's manual (page 5-41):
========
CAUTION
During the first 1,200 miles (2,000 km),
follow these recommendations to obtain
maximum engine performance and ensure
the future reliability and economy of your
new vehicle.
Failure to follow these recommendations
may result in shortened engine life and reduced
engine performance.
O Avoid driving for long periods at constant
speed, either fast or slow. Do
not run the engine over 4,000 rpm.
O Do not accelerate at full throttle in any
gear.
O Avoid quick starts.
O Avoid hard braking as much as possible.
========
I figure the manufacturer knows how to break-in their cars best.

Just standard boiler plate BS. I wouldn't worry with how you break in your engine, just do what you feel comfortable with. LOL, you should see how we break in some of the powertrains on the dynos at work.
