The reason for disabling the interior 3rd brake light is because you can get "possible reflections off the spoiler when braking"
They are in fact (according to my local dealer) supposed to disable the 3rd brake light when they install the sport spoiler.
Sounds silly, but I couldn't see anything potentially dangerous (atleast when I looked at it in the showroom)

Possible reflections, so what, my G has an OEM type aftermarket spoiler, and both lights are functional, the reflection is no big deal, and I'm sure it's no worse on the '07. Shane's car came from the factory like that, right?

Also, just my $.02, but for the price difference, if an aftermarket OEM is available, it's just as good, speaking from experience.

Well, this is also the same place with a fast talking salesman told me that the dash vinyl coverings was "pattered after japanese washi paper" (no trace of aluminum trim anywhere, just the wood trim)
Hm, I thought to myself, the guy can read the brochures really well. Not too bright though.
I would agree with aftermarket spoilers as well. My past experience with them has all been positive.
