ughhhh!!! this is the worst!! i have about 5 on the trunk, i've tried cleaner wax but it doesnt really do the job. it looks like its really deep in paint would i need to get it buffed out? i heard its really abrasive?

nevermind..found some threads about it.

 

I have two spots on my doors where bird droppings have etched into the clearcoat. ScratchX did not work. The dealer was also unable to buff them out.

 

Find a body shop in your area who has a mil.guage(measures paint thickness).Measure paint thickness on undamaged surface next to where the droppings were then measure in the etched area.I believe there is approx.1.5 mils. of clear from factory so if you're withih one mil.difference you can be a little more aggresive with compound to level the area out
