Sticking my neck out...

Who else here didn't know where the fog switch was? Even after I looked in the manual, it took me a minute to figure it out.

Also, has anyone experienced their alarm yet? Whether intentional or not?

Chris

It took me a minute to figure that out before I posted the initial post. It is well blended into the stalk, on the inner half.

Boy, I feel better I am not the only one that missed that control. Thought the lights just werent any good until someone mentioned an inner ring next to light controls. Now if I can just figure out the way to restart the mileage calcs after a fillup (instead of resetting in settings and then both trip odometers. There are some really wierd quirks to this car.

I haven't got that far yet

Did you try that small button just under the light stalk/switch. Maybe if you hold that button down?

It took me a while to find the dash light dimmer and the trip computer A/B select reset buttons. They are (with my height and seating position), totally obstructed by the steering wheel, and very difficult to see.

Eh, the car ain't perfect, but I still love it.

+1. I think it's not a very important button (unless you fill up very frequently). I tried pressing the dashboard buttons in the beginning. I rotated through the screens over and over again, then I gave up and looked elsewhere. Then... Ah ha! It's on the bottom left! (And it's not backlit.)

Not even improtant for fill ups. The car already calculates your combined MPG and records a log.

I never find that to be accurate. I don't know, I enjoy calculating it myself using my cell phone calculator. The one in the computer just shows a bar, not an exact number, right?

To answer my own question about the alarm, there appears to be a built in delay between the time you lock it and when the alarm will function. I set it and waited a few minutes and tried opening the door through an open window, low and behold xenon flash and horn honk.

To boot, there are hood and trunk monitors for the alarm. Pretty good system except for the absense of shock/mercury switches.
