Splash Guards ?

Do these things really help keep spray and debris off the car? Was wondering if they were worth purchasing from aftermarket type place or not. What is the word?

Yes they do!

My '04 didn't have them but Trey's '05 does and it really does make a difference on the road crap that gets on the car. I had that on my short list of absolutely must haves on the '07

I ordered the splashguards

and would recommend them. It is a minor expense to keep debris off the car. Aesthetically, they don't add or take away anything in my opinion.

They don't keep a lot of road debris off the car, but they definitely help.
I had them on my last G35 and have ordered them for this one (but the splashguards aren't here yet ) . I also think they look good on the car. If you don't mind the appearance of them I would definitely get them.

True nothing gets everything coming by but they certainly help. I think most people don't even notice them unless they are looking for them. Besides, they are really quite inexpensive.

Mine were $40,000 and they threw in the car for free.

Yes I get the same garbage from my Dealer. They have them in the US but in Canada, the Dealers seem to have a problem. I went through the same thing with my 05 sedan. We'll get them eventually .

I think the front one matters more than the rear. The rear is kind of useless.

I had to call my salesguy today Wayne and I asked him about the splashguards. He said that he still has zero information on the splashguards and no clue when they will be in. At least the information seems consistent from one Canadian dealership to the next.

Mine came with them from the factory.. They are color matched and look great. They look like they should help keep the sides clean.. I'll let you know when I get some more miles and dirt on the car.

The original car I was gonna buy didn't have them (it was sold right before I got there). I got the next one off their shipment that came had them for invoice ;0) The fact that they are painted makes them look seamless.

Same here... the car that came in had a different VIN. It also had the splash guards and wheel locks installed. The paperwork was signed and my price didn't include the splash and locks.. so I got them for zip.. now that doesn't happen often at the stealership

I was thinking of getting the splash guards too. For those who have them, but whose cars didn't have them to begin with, did you install them yourself or did you get the dealer to install them (and for how much)?
