I test drove the car and went in wanting a Black/Black G35S 6MT with Premium Package only.

The salesman (a liar of course) said of Black on Black with a 6 speed will be impossible to get.

The next day the salesman called and the said the car you want will be in tomorrow. Well the dealer was sketchy and I went to another dealer who traded for the black/black and sold it to me!

I ended up getting the spoiler for free because I didn't want it and once I saw it I really liked it

No wait here

When I was shopping for mine, the second dealer I went to had just received a shipment of cars that day, one of which was a G35S with the exact option package I wanted and it was one of the 3 colors I was interested in. When I first saw it, it was in their back lot with the white paint protection film all over the car. I test drove another G35S 5AT on their lot and bought mine that day for $650 over invoice!

True. But on the other hand, there is nothing like the feeling that this car was built especially for YOU! Built exactly as YOU asked for it. And then there is the wait.... the anticipation....

tick tock tick tock.....

And then you get THE call - "Sir... your car has entered the building..."

You get there....

And you see YOUR beauty.... sitting there.....

It's almost like a long distance relationship, where you finally get to see your love...

Hand in there, she's almost here.

All you guys that are waiting - did you trade in a car? If you did, did the dealership put you in a loaner until your car came in or did you keep driving the car that you're going to trade in (and keep depreciating the value of it)?

I got lucky, I wanted to order an IP/Graphite w/ Prem + Nav, but the local dealership told me they don't make IP/Graphite, so I called Kenny @ Infi of Massapequah and he had the EXACT car already coming in, so I only really had to wait for 1 month after I made my deposit on it and that included cross-country shipping from NY to WA.

I gave them my trade-in, but I didn't sign the title over. Essentially they're just storing my car so it doesn't depreciate while waiting for my new car to come in. They gave me a brand new fx35 to drive around.

Got the loaner first week of january. My car comes in (cross fingers here) end of this month.

I got really lucky with my G. I went into the dealer early december, told them what I wanted and it just so happened that there was one in transit on a boat heading for LA. Put my deposit down, and waited 3-4 weeks.

My brother in law went in, and drove home. He settled with what they had on the lot.

Me 07 G35 Sport Platinum Graphite / Graphite Premium
Brother in law 07 G35 Journey Lakeshore Slate / Stone Premium with Sport wheels

Funny thing is my Brother in law paid almost the same price I did. Go Go Sport model!
