After 2 months of research, reading, test-driving (Lexus/BMW/Infiniti)...and frankly hanging out on this site, I went to the Toronto auto show this week, took one more look and said "Do it"! I'm pretty jazzed.

Interestingly, I may actually get it by mid-March. Must have hit the right timing for the next 'boatload' with a couple extra inventory vehicles. (mind you, I've heard that story before so I'm trying not to get my 'heart' too tied to that timeline).

I'm in a black/black '04 Maxima SE right now...been terrific but I'm excited as hell about taking the next step in terms of style, power, technology and 'class' upgrade.

This site/forum and the many details, comments, and well thought/spoken points of view (most of the time ) that were accessible here, really helped in making what I think was a great purchase decision in terms of pure driver value equation.

Love the 'garnet' and was looking hard at it once I read your description of how it changes depending on lighting. Had only two choices though if I didn't want to wait months. Black or PG.

Saw the pics here and couldn't resist the black despite the 'work' associated with it. Ah well, have had '01 and '04 black on black Maximas so what the heck...I know what I'm in for. (picus alert...)

 

What model did you get? And what packages? And even what dealership?
