Engine bay rattle

my brother just called he is in West virgina borrowing the car and i just got a call saying he is getting a rattling from the engine bay and cant find anything loose, does any one have any ideas, im worrried about my baby

ideas?

What kind of rattle.. when do you hear it.. Maybe its just some bad gas and he is experiencing pinging..

Is you car manual? Are you sure it's not the transmission because you know the 6mts have a noisy tranny.

6spd? Turning off the car with clutch out will cause a small shutter sound. I've got it and have posts about older models doing the same thing. Keep the clutch in when turning off the car and it will cure the ill.
