A good shopping experience!

As some of you remembered from last week, I had a horrible experience at a dealership (clicky here). A fellow member of this forum recommended a dealership that he bought his car from. I went there today with my dad and the experience was a night and day difference compared to the other dealership I went to a week ago.

A salesman came up to us introduced himself and I told him I was interested in a G35 with a 6-speed manual. We went looking around on the lot and while we were looking I asked him if there would be any price increases starting in March. He had a puzzled look on his face and told me that he haven’t heard anything. Then we found one in Blue Slate. Before he went inside, I told him that I don’t plan on buying today and he said that he understands.

There was a very close call during the test drive! Everything was going smoothly until some damn Avalon on the other side of the road decided to cross into my lane! I was very lucky that I saw that at the last second and managed to get out of the way. Where is a cop when you need one? It scared the crap out of all of us because it would’ve been one nasty head-on collision. It would be a damn shame to have a beauty such as the G35 be in a wreck. The only plus side was that I got a chance to test out emergency maneuvers and it performed phenomenally.

After the test drive, we went inside. While we were walking to his desk, I explained to him that I don’t plan on buying any of the cars from the lot and I don’t want any swapped cars. He was perfectly cool with it. He took a notepad out and wrote down what I wanted for my G. He then went onto explaining other stuff like the car buying process and experience which I appreciated because the jerks from the other dealership was only concerned with selling me their crap.

If things go well for me, I will place my order for a fully-loaded G35 6MT at the end of March! But the color has been undecided though. At first I was so sure that I wanted Blue Slate but then I saw Ivory Pearl and I am now absolutely in love with that color. I’ve never been interested in white cars up until now. There is something about that Ivory Pearl that makes me want to get it instead of Blue Slate. Even my dad was commenting how nice the car looks in white.

The name of the dealership I visited today is Infiniti of Norwood in Norwood, MA. It was the farthest one from me but it was very well worth the trip. I felt comfortable being there because there was absolutely NO pressure and they treated me with respect. The guys from Kelly Infiniti of Danvers, MA has a lot of learning to do. And that person in the Avalon needs to learn how to drive.

Thanks for reading!

It's good to hear of postive experiences once in a while and great that you give kudos to your dealer at Infiniti of Norwood.

BTW, you can always put the salesman's name in your post.

All you other dealerships .... we're watching you!

Sounds good!

But... if you wait until the end of March... just think how long that will be until you get to drive yours! Maybe place the order sooner?

And about the colors- check which ones have which interior colors available. Maybe if you're only looking for a certain color that will narrow down your choices... just a suggestion.

Glad that things will work out for you in the end. Hey, Kelly Infiniti may learn the hard way. In the end all that matters is that you made a purchase you are happy with and there was little stress (in the end) involved.

Sorry. I forgot to post the salesman's name . The name of the gentlemen I spoke with was Jason.

I know it will be a long wait if I order at the end of March but I still have to decide the color and now I am wondering if I should wait for the 08s to come out......

I'm glad I found a good dealership on my second try. Kelly can burn in hell

When I got home from work today, Jason left a message thanking me for coming in on Saturday to test drive the G. I called him back and thanked him for giving me the opportunity to test drive the G.

Did you know what the salesman from Kelly Infiniti did? He called me up last Wednesday(the 28th, last day of the month) not to thank me for coming in the other day but he called to remind me to put in an order by the end of the day to guarantee an August delivery. What a freaking scumbag!
