Is this a good deal?

I am eligible for the VPP plan. Was quoted $519 per month on a 39-month lease with $1000 down and my 2003 (47K miles) G35 sedan and 15,000 miles per year. Current car is in good condition, credit is very good. Plat Graph/Graph, Premium package, splash guards are the equipment on the 07 G35. Also quoted $532 with same deal, but no cash out of pocket. Quoted me $500 over invoice and a $20,001 residual.

Is that 519.00 including tax? I got 530.00 a month tax included for 39 months. I put 3000 down but I was 8000.00 in negative equity on my 05 pathfinder. I guess yours aint a bad deal.

I think you could get a BMW 335 for about $540 per month for 36 months with 8 refundable security deposits. Personally I leased an 05 G35 with premium, sport, and aero packages for $460 per month, including NC tax 7.5%, for 39 months, with $15,000 miles. The stats on the lease were .0021 money factor, $500 over invoice, absolutely nothing down, and 59% residual. The MSRP on the car was $36,200 which is very comparable to the new 07 stickers. I think the BMW is at .0015 money factor and 61-63% residual now. There are much much better deals to be had than the one they offered you. In fact I would venture to say that the dealer is raping you on that one! What were the money factors and residuals they were offering?

Bottom line if you don’t know if it is a good lease or not, then don’t lease it. The dealers will always give you a bad deal if you don’t know how to calculate a lease!

Yea, that doesn't sound like that great a deal.

I am not familiar with VPP pricing, but I was getting quotes in that range w/o VPP.

How was the car equiped? if it has Nav, tech, etc., that is a good number, but if it's a basic journey car, you can do better...

As for the BMW 335...Yea, for about $625/mo, you could lease one, but to me, it's not worth the extra $100/mo.

I think the G has a more eye catching and agressive exterior, larger and far better looking interior...

Actually, I said for about $540 per month you could lease a BMW 335i. They are throwing in about $6000 worth of incentives on their leases. That is outstanding! I know, I didn’t believe it at first. However, you would definitely have to consider getting a BMW 335i over a G35 if the price difference was only about $3000. I wouldn’t lease ANY G35 sedan for more than $500 per month. If you are patient and you know what games they will try to play then you can get it for this.
