Angry some dealers just never listen

I specifically asked for my car to not get washed when i went in for my 3750 maintanence today. 1 hour later I see some guy wiping down my car with what looks like to be windex. anywho go outside to see what he was doing. I noticed my car had just been washed and it had SWIRL MARKS!!! Well the Dealer admitted it was their fault for miscommunication. Told me to bring it back on monday for them to send it out for detail. He said it was going to cost them $200. How well of a job should i expect? Would the Swirl Marks all be gone??

i'm too old to worry about that anymore. you'll outgrow it.

in the meantime, next time you get service, tape a piece of paper to the dashboard saying "NO WASH, PLEASE"

NOOO!!
dealership detail will be like 10 car washes.
get them to go private or take serious pictures of ur paint and compare it after their detail.
cuz im pretty sure theyll put more swirls into it.

instead tell them you'll take it to your own detailer and give him the bill.

it has nothing to do with infiniti dealers... they don't want any dealer of any manufacturer washing their precious paint

I agree with the others ask them to pay for you to bring it to a detailer you trust.

detailers

I've considered getting my car detailed. My biggest concern used to be getting the interior greased up with something like Armor-All. Then the last detailer I talked to was telling me how they use "acid" to get the wheels really clean (presto -no more clear-coat?!!?) - I got out of there fast. As far as I'm concerned, the dealer washing the car when it's in for service is not that bad - they always do at least a halfway decent job and even clean some of the brake dust off the wheels.

Take it to a respectable private detail shop. I am going to take this understanding to the dealership next time I go.

yeah... unless u trust your dealer, I wouldn't do it. Have them pay your private detailer $200 instead! Last time I saw a dealer "detail/buff" another car, they just use heavy compound have machine the crap out of paint. You may not have much clear coat left after all of that. Plus they mostly dont clean out the edges or plastics. Its hard to get the white off once it dries.
