Some Questions

So my dad is considering buying a g35 sedan. We went to the dealership twice. I think we're pretty much settled on this car. He offered us a g35x with the whole shabang, Premium + Navi + Technology package. We opted for a lease option because we didn't know if anyone would be around to drive it in 4 years time.
At first we only wanted the premium + navi, but if we wanted that it wouldn't come until April with the selected colour we wanted. So he said instead he'll cut the price of the technology package.
I don't know if this is a good deal so I was wondering how much you guys paid for your g35?

I'm located in Canada by the way!

Also, how did you guys go about getting the cargo net ?

My X came with 2 nets, one big cargo net that stretches across the trunk and a small one that goes in the front right corner of trunk to keep a bottle of washer fluid. I didn't pay extra for them.

My Journey only came with the big cargo net. I don't even think there are hooks for a net of any kind in the right corner of the trunk. Weird.

I might not be around in 4 years after I graduate, and everyone in my family is also an uncertain status.
Lots of people from the states here I see, I asked my dealer about the g35 journey. "Journey what?.."

That thing was a pain to get on anyway, I almost needed to crawl into the trunk to get enough leverage on it. It's nice to have though, I always have a full bottle of washer fluid with me.

Same, the 2 nets for the trunk are standard in Canada.

For my X with my options the price comes to $40,050 (CDN$46,994.25) on infiniti.com and full retail in Canada is CDN$52,370 so that's only a difference of CDN$5375.75. I was thinking I would like to pay about $5,000 for a place to keep my washer fluid anyways.

I just looked on both Infiniti websites and the difference for mine is $12,505.00. Not quite $15k I guess, but pretty darn close.

I was actually looking into getting a car imported from the States (to save some cash), but there are so many pain in the A*S things that you have to do, that I said forget it (i.e. Dials have to change, day-time running lights, etc), not to mention all of the importation fees and taxes. They make it so damn time consuming that it isn't even worth it ... plus, I wouldn't have gotten my cargo nets in the trunk ...
