As a current modded 05 sedan person, I came in expecting to see similar results. Wow was I wrong (in a good way of course).

Pros:
- I love the paddle shifting, nice touch
- The new console screen is very intuitive, and standard
- Tranny seems much better, holds to redline constantly
- Exhaust note sounds good, but not too bad ( I do have a Stillen Gen1 so anything is quieter )
- Rear A/C vent is standard, I wish I had that on my car
- Surprisingly good stereo - 3 speakers per door, reminds me of BMW

Cons:
- The seats feel slightly less padded than mine, may just be bc its a loaner
- Aluminum looks kinda cheesy / faded grey
- Tires look like crappy Potenzas - when do Sedan ppl get good Pilot Sports or summer tires!
- That stupid silver / chrome spoiler on the trunk. UGLY. I told the guy at the car show to get rid of it before they made it production.

If I had some money to burn I would definitely be tempted to trade in my sedan for a new one, but for the moment I'll wait and think about everything. Overall, good job Infiniti, I am impressed and think that the car is what people have been asking for.

Just my .02

No, those seats are HARD. They feel like a shoe that's 1/2 size too small for me. The journey seats are MUCH more comfortable.

Please don't take this the wrong way (not being sarcastic), but what are your measurements (height, weight)?

I personally think the sport seats in this car are the most supportive and comfortable seats I've ever sat in (including my coupe).

Well .... the 07 Sedan has been "in production" since November 2006 approx

Doubt if they would change it now

While the Potenza RE050 is used as Original Equipment on the supercharged Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG sedan, a Potenza RE050A Scuderia version is used on the 12-cylinder Enzo Ferrari supercar, and a Run Flat version is used on the BMW Z4 sports cars and 5-Series sedans.

I think the seats in my Journey are much more comfortable than what was in my '05 Coupe. All of my passengers think so as well. The girlfriend says she is 100x more comfy in this one... I only test drove a sport once, so cannot say much regarding those seats.

I get a kick out of people who complain about a particular line of tires when a line of tires can contain a HUGE range. If you look at reviews and driving tests, Potenzas have both one of the best rated performance tires (the RE050A pole position) and some of the worst.

Micheline in it's Pilot Sport line along has a handful of tires, with some at the top end, and some at the bottom end in terms of quality.

The RE050A that the G35 sport uses is a pretty impressive performance summer tire.

It may be my prejudice against Bridgestone since I had Horrenzas before I switched to coupe wheels. The difference between those and Pilot Sports is night and day, turns which when dry I was scared of slipping on, suddenly were laughable at speeds I would never think of doing. That's why I figured when it comes to sport tires, Infiniti screwed us Sedan people again. But looking on TR these tires seem very respectable. From my experience in the past I still prefer Michelin, but if I bought the new 07 I would definitely give them a shot.

And for the record, just because higher end cars use them doesn't mean they're the greatest. Go look at some of the Pirelli or Continental. That's what forums and review boards are for, let someone else push it :-)

Well if you must know, I'm about 5'10" and 180. Those sport seats have very little give in them. Go sit in the sport sideways, like you just backed into the car and sat on the bottom bolster. It feels like sitting on a 2x4. Now do the same in a journey. The journey's bolsters have a lot more give in them. I guess the sport seats are great for racing if you're 120lbs soaking wet.

Hmm... I'm coming out of an FX and I LOVE the sport seats.
Must be a matter of taste.

I don't know about the journey seats but for me it feels like the sport seats are too narrow, like my thighs are hanging up and over the sides. And I have the side bolsters all the way out. I'm 5'10" 160 so I don't think I'm overly large either. The G is mainly my wife's car and I have an '04 GTO. I don't think the seats could be any more different. The GTO has wide thick seats without so many adjustments, but damn! it is comfortable.
Maybe I just need to get more used to the G seats.
Or maybe I'm just jealous that she got a new car.

^^LOL!
I've started driving the G a bit more agressively - and the seats really grab your a$$...
They're certainly not like the bench seats in my dad's Ford LTD II.
Thank God.
