Ok, you are sooooo too nice. LOL They would be begging someone else who could put that 3M stuff on to arrive tomorrow to get it done. I would be bitching at them constantly and I mean constantly. They would get my car done just so I would leave them the hell alone. Of course, all of this is assuming that the delay is them dragging their feet on things as it has seemed if I read your posts correctly. Either way, sucks much and hopefully it will be better soon.

They said that they have another guy who is in trianing, who could do the install... he's not yet 3M certified though.

I explained that if I come to take delivery and it's not perfect, that they would be peeling it off and doing it again.

They chose towait until the cert'd guy is back on Monday.

The Wait.....

I thought that was odd, being a Friday but that's all they could tell me.

I know of someone in another forum who was told the week of April 6.

Anyway... for those who ordered, was your date accurate or did it come in early or late?

I'm dying here.
I'm like a kid who has to endure Christmas Eve every day,and I never get my toys on XMas morning.
It's like an evil, twisted Groundhog day
The wait is killin' me!
Dealer told me the week of Mar.16th It came in on the13th picked it up on the 14th.I'm very impressed with the car and was well worth the wait. You can always DREAM..

I'll put my input on this one --- we've had some cars being held a few days at Port for internal reasons -- not enough trucks to drive it to the dealer and so forth. in the past week we had 60 new 2007 G sedans delivered and i'm waiting for 2 of them for clients. infiniti has no structure just estimated weeks when your car will arrive at the dealer.

"The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part"

Well tell me who at Infiniti to call and verbally bitch slap then. I thought knowing a date would make it easier but now I am really dying! I have new wheels that arrived yesterday waiting for her when she gets here and it will be another 3.5 weeks.

trust me i wish it were that easy. i tell people eta week of yada yada and then boom next day it gets pushed back another week or so. i do understand there are a million cars that come into the port and weather conditions do vary upon the shipment arriving while in sea in transit.

Got the call today.
My car is now on the ground and at the dealer.
3M Film scheduled for Tuesday morning and I pick it up Tuesday at 5pm.

If I pick up my new 30D in time, I'll post some pics Wednesday

Yeah, one of the local guys says that the ship will get attacked by pirates or sink and I'll have to wait until they can build another one. Oh BTW, if we have an order number can any dealer check on it or only the one that ordered it originally?

She's Home!!!

What an awesome experience too.
Salesman came in on his day off and spent 1.5 hours with me going through the tech in the car... I don't remember any of it.

75 mile drive to get it home, and it was pure enjoyment.
ICC made driving the highway home a complete breeze.
(Yes, I varied speeds a lot)

This is, without a doubt, the nicest car I have ever owned.

Well my dealer told me the 14th which is this Saturday, but I know they are doing a dealer trade to get it for me. So is that date set or could come in before or after the 14th? If it comes in on Saturday they probably won't be able to prep until Monday! ARGGGGGGHH!

I wouldn't let them prep a thing!

I normally would not allow those HACKS to touch my car, but I wanted the
3M film applied before the car left the dealership, so they cleaned the car.

I've had the car for 20 hours now.
On the way home from work, I stop at the store for coffee and as I exit the store, my car is sitting in just the right light.... to see horrible swirl marks!

I'm pissed!
The saleman said he would be calling me tomorrow to check on my happiness level, and to talk to him about any problems before filling out my survey.
"If anything is not perfect, allow me to correct the problem before giving me anything but perfect marks"

Aurgh.
I have not yet had time to calm down and think, and I know I could most likely fix this myself.
I'm just mad.
Some unexperienced meathead with a buffer touched my car, and right now, all I can think about is hurting him. LOL

Prep your own car... you don't need this stress!
