I was cleaning my car yesterday and found that:
1. The driver's side left bolster was already creased. This I can live with
2. The bolster and a bit of the seat have gone blue - from my jeans? This is unacceptable on a car which has not even had its first oil change...

Any solutions for these?

Also, the grill is getting spotted...

Were these new/unwashed jeans? I wear jeans everyday and no dye has transfered to the seat...

As for the creasing - I had some minor creases and they seem to get a lot better with a good leather moisturizer.
A cleaner conditioner might also take out the discoloration.

I have the same problem on my stone leather seats. I have used a slightly damp cloth which helped with the staining but I'm guessing that a proper leather cleaner would be better.

Any ideas?

This is with all used jeans which dont run color in the washing machines...

Have you tried cleaning with a quality cleaner/moisturizer?

I use the Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner...
Seems to work pretty well.
I can watch those small creases disappear as I condition it.

It isn't bad leather, it's leather. Leather is a skin and just like human skin it will show creasing when it's stretched and folded, it's porous so it will absorb dye from surrounding materials and when it dries out it will crack. That's just the way it is, I chose graphite leather as opposed to stone or wheat because it tends to hide many of these weaknesses. Take care of it and it will last the life of the car with no issues.

seat cover = best solution

The problem is the use of foam in the bolsters - other luxury manufacturers tend to produce pneumatic seat bolsters which would deform less under stress, and thus keep the leather from creasing.

I'm picking up some Lexol today and attacking the seats later. I think the other problem is how supple the leather is - it has a very similar feeling to sheepskin, but it's regular cow leather, which leads me to think it's going to be a wee bit weaker than most. This isn't exactly old-wizened-cow leather like you'd find on a Camry!

(but yes, it does suck.)

I Have The Same Problems On My Stone Leather As Well.

Creases Easily And Dye From Jeans. If There Is Nothing To Do About It I Can Live With It. I Only See It When I Get In The Car.

I wouldn't use a seat cover in a modern car with a side airbag. If you cover the area from which the airbag deploys, it will by unable to deploy when you need it. Just my $.02

Why in the world would you cover a nice leather seat? What's the point in getting a car with leather interior, if you are going to cover it it?

lol yeah i totally agree with you man, the reason why i mentioned about the seat cover because ive seen many chinese people with ugly seat covers in their acura RLs and Lexus'
