Towing with a G35s

Greetings,

Reading the owners manual it lists the maximum towing capacity at 1000 lbs, but that it is not recommended and if you damage your car it wouldn't be covered by warranty. Followed by a bunch of do's and don'ts and 500 mile increment routines.

I would like to get a trailer for my G because I can't fit (nor would I want to) fishing rods, tackle and boat stuff in my car. 1000 is way over kill for what I'd need and I'd be more like 500lbs tops including the trailer weight, something like this: Link to trailer at Harbor Freight for a distance of no more then 20 miles across the rugged terrain of South Florida with it's plywood shaped flat topography.

I have the extended warranty on my car, while I am not overly concerned with doing damage to my car, I have little faith in people. I foresee anything going wrong with my car being blamed on the trailer that I use once a month if I am lucky. Is this concern warranted or is the service of Infiniti good?

Second question anybody know how to install a hitch on these cars? Where can I get one that wouldn't be seen, or has removable visible pieces? Can I use 'any-ole one I find on the web', or are there Infiniti specific installation concerns?

Anyone done it? Anyone with an 2007? Got pics?

I found some posts on this forum, but not for the 2007 Sedan,

I would love that solution for my car!!

Thanks,
Vince
