G got scratched..

well here's the story............

I pulled up to a grocery store with my dad in the passenger seat. I got a parking space all the way up front, first space. My dad left the car (the brand-new Infiniti G35) to get some grocery. 5 min. later, a white GMC Sierra Van pulls up beside me and parks illegally. 15 min. later, the white van guy comes with his buggy filled with items. He stars loading his truck with the items and as he was about to leave, he grabbed a hold of the buggy and turned it around and as he was doing that ..BOOM..he hit MY CAR! Thank G-d there's no dent..i think..however a yellow scratch paired with two white scratches were created. The most visible scratch is the yellow scratch which is approx. 1.5 cm in length and not that deep but still is really visible. I quickly call my dad and tell me and he rushes out of the store. My dad and I approached the white van guy and told him that he hit my car and he told me "bug-off you little S***"......my dad got REALLY furious and said "how DARE you talk to MY son...". I mean, come on admit that you hit the car! I was in the car and he even saw me, but still he was denying it..The white van guy had MAJOR issues...He probably came up with a swear word for every letter of the alphabet. So my dad starts talking to me and says "wow this guy is insane!" Then the white van guy even came up to my dad and threatened to punch him and stuff...So my dad called the cops and explained the situation and as he was doing so the white van guy kept on swearing at us. Anyways, we never really wanted to call the cops, but this was guy was full out denying that he hit the car and had a mental problem. Later on the white van guy calms down and says "Alright, I know someone with a bodyshop and I'll fix it". Now...Should we trust this man and go to his friends bodyshop? I have a gut feeling that maybe his friend will make it worse. The white van guy says his friends bodyshop will prob. just try to buff it out (which i think it'll work for the white scratches on the car, but not the yellow scratch). The yellow scratch btw. is not deep, but it's like a sharp little crevice that you can feel with your fingernail. Will that buff out? I'm so mad ...How about touch-up paint from the dealer? Maybe we can ask this white van guy to go through our dealer? Because to be frank, I'd trust our dealer MUCH MORE over this white van guy's friend's body shop...so sorry for the long read

Sorry to hear that bro

Should have called the cops on that a$$hat!

And no, I wouldn't take the car to that body shop, as this little scratch may turn out to be the least of your problems after these clowns are done with it...

Man that sucks hullio, that dude sounded like such an a$$-wipe.
I would take it to someone like dent wizard and see what they say.

What happened to your car is the reason why most of us park the furthest corner away in a parking lot, especially a grocery store parking lot.
Hopefully your scratch can be buffed out. Good luck with it.

That really sucks! There is NO WAY I would have this clown's bodyshop fix it, that's for darn sure.

I'm a little confused....did the cops actually come? You should definitely go through the dealer or a place that you know and trust. Sounds like you handled it better than I would have, Id've been livid.

To make this answer short...are you f*cking serious?!? Hell no you shouldn't trust this a**hole's "buddy", you should take his insurance info, get it professionally buffed out, and make him pay.

Certain people deserve to be turned into fertilizer.
This guy's at the top of my list.

I don't like "Mr. White Van Guy"

Ever notice how people that hit your car always has a friend that owns a body shop?

Did you get his plate? Just call it into your insurance company and see what they have to say.

Hey hullio, sorry to hear your story...better not trust that guy.

Which store did you go to? I guess I'll try to avoid that area for a while...

I wouldn't trust this guy for a second. Take your car to the autobody shop that your dealer goes to and have this guy pay for the paint and detail.

Well I was thinking this whole thing over and decided that either way we can't get it done from this guy's friends bodyshop...we got the paint protection on our car (don't flame on me! it was an okay deal so we said what the heck, no1 has time to wash the car that much anyways..we got it for i think $400 no tax w/5 year guarantee or something from the reg. price of $750 for paint prot. and interior guard). So if the bodyshop were to buff the scratch out or w/e, it'll most likely screw up the paint protection. So, my dad and I are going to the dealership hopefully today to see what they think about it. btw. the crazy guy called my dad twice today to say he was really sorry and stuff...my dad also said that either this guy was either really high yesterday or something because he was really nice on the phone...meh weird guy I'll keep you posted. Btw. for any of you GTA/Ontario ppl, the bodyshop which he said his friend works at is on i think Keele and Finch or something - has anyone been to that bodyshop? any good?
