'07g35 S wheels on the '07 g35X

Hey all:
First post on this forum. I have also asked this question, because I think the width probably has nothing to do with the AWD system. It is only the outside diameter that woud have any affect on the differentials. The width could affect the traction from front to rear but that should not be an issue. I have another AWD car: '91 Porsche C4 and it along with all other AWD porsches run staggered set-ups - 225/45/17 in front and 255/40/17. The widths are different but the outside diameter is identical at 25". Unless I am missing something, you could run a staggered wheel width as long as you maintain the outside diameter.

I don't have a G35x but my previous vehicle was an AWD with oversize tires and I never had any issues.
- Speedometer will be off
- ABS and VDC will trigger at a different speed
- A bit more strain on the drivetrain and suspension (if going bigger)

But, don't forget that at some point you may have to use the OEM compact spare, and if it doesn't match the other three, all kinds of strange things may happen; not just the AWD, but the traction control and VDC may act up too. It's interesting that the Altimas equipped with VDC also come with a full-size spare.....
Just something to think about.

With my Audi I was always told NOT to run staggered because the Quattro system is all time AWD and theres something about it constantly putting power to all 4 wheels. I dont fully understand the technical aspect of it and it would make a whole lot more sense if I could explain it to you...lol. Sorry for that.
Anyway, what im getting at is woudnt it be ok to run staggered on the G since the atessa system doesnt always put power to all 4 wheels? Its supposedly 100% rear wheel drive(read from the brochure, dont really know) until it senses slip and then it transfers up to 50% to the front.
So in theory, since it can sense slip and transfer as much away from the rear that it wants, wouldnt it be able to adjust transfer/power accordingly if it felt the tire size or diamater off?
Like I said, I dont really know. Im just throwing out ideas here.
Oh, and this is my first post. Im supposed to be picking up my 07 G35 X on saturday as long as everything goes well with the sale of my current car. Wish me luck! lol

I just has 08 G35x for 2 months now. Just bought 08 G37 Wheel Staggered and try to installed. however i heard there is no staggered for the X and all must be the same size.So i plan to buy 2 more front wheel from G37
in order to have all in same size.
Is that possible? Your recommended would be appreciate.

18" factory rims
I got a new '08 G35x last week w/ 17" rims and 225/55/17 RSA tires.
I'm thinking about factory 18" rims (not staggered).
Are there such rims for the G35 or G35x?
Alternatively, I may get 235/50/17 General Exclaim UHP tires.
The fender gap bothers me a little, but my previous car ('00 Lexus GS400) was dropped using L-tuned (Lexus) parts and it would scrape on humped driveways particularly w/ people in the backseat. I don't want that again.
Any suggestions?
