the main reason i chose stone over graphite leather for my blue slate is that black leather gets "shinier" sooner... i hate shiny leather!

I'd like to piggy back on this. I'm currently deciding between graphite and stone for the Slate Blue. I can't decide. I'm leaning a little bit more towards the stone because I like the contrast of the black dash, the stone leather and the washi finish. I'm a woman in my mid-20's if that makes much of a difference. The stone seems a little more feminine.

Your thoughts??

Thanks in advance!

i generally dont like dark interiors. my previous car had cream seat, cream headliner and cream insert on the dorrs. everthing else was black. i got the stone interior on the g for the same reason. dealer gave me an option if i wanted blacl mats or stone. i went with stone a) cuz thats the original colors its suppose to come with and b) i didnt like the look of haivng black mats with grey carpet/floormats. now if the entire floor was black carpet with black matts.......

the contrast is nice, an imo the stone looks more luxurious... more fitting of a luxury car. the balance with the washi finish is REALLY nice.

also, the stone shows creases the least.

Hey - I actually like that! I was trying to picture it and didn't think it'd look that good... Nice job.

BTW - is that a bluetooth doo-dad on your vent? The BT on the G didn't work with your phone?

Probably. It looks a little like the rocketship in Flesh, er, Flash Gordon.

Hahah. Yeah, just a car freshener. They used to sell them at Target, and refills, too, but now, the only place that sells them is Home Depot. They don't sell refills, so if any of you know where to find them, let me know.

The black mats hide stains well, but dirt, rocks, leaves, any crap from your shoes, they'll obviously be more apparent. I love the look of the stone being sandwiched between the layers of graphite.

Ok, I'm sold. Those pics solidified it for me. I much prefer the stone just due to the contrast. Plus, I'm in CA and there is nothing worse than burning your legs on black leather. OUCH!!!

Wow, that actually looks pretty sweet with the black mats. I think it looks so good because the cover the entire floor, so you don't see a gray carpet border around them.
