ha oops ISBN i missed that

G35er_in_TO

where did you get those numbers?
I think the EPA numbers are something like 22 city and 27HW

and as always those are overstated. What kind of drivng are you doing?city/freeway? and how agressively are you driving. . .when you really get on the G yeah it sucks up gas. . .

ohh yeah are you in thousand oaks?? I'm in Agoura hills not to far from TO, driving here from Ventura. So you know I go over that COnejo grade and im still getting pretty good mileage. look above

Those numbers are directly from the infiniti.ca website.
I do a combination (50/50) of hwy + city, so I should net out somewhere in the middle, but not too impressed w/ what I'm getting right now (bear in mind that I only have 800km on the car).

I live in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) - not sure where Agoura Hills or Ventura is??

I looked it up, on the US website(infiniti.com) it states the EPA estimates are 19/26 not sure why yours are different only that maybe your rating system is different(in canada). . which would compund the problem as our rating system in the States are pretty overstated from 2007 and before

For a 300HP car the mileage is not going to be great. . .and even though yours is not broken in your mileage is still pretty crappy. Try driving more smoothly? I'm getting 22mpg with somewhat conservative driving although I will push it when gettin on the onramp and when passing. . .

The United States use US Gallons, while Canada and most other countries use Imperial Gallons. 1 Imperial gallon is equivalent to 1.2 US Gallons. Our EPA ratings will be higher because Imperial gallons are larger than your US gallons.

All - You may laugh at this, but it works. I've tracked my fuel consumption religously since Feb 28, 2007 (purchase date). I usually don't let me tank drop below 30-40 miles remaining (just an estimated reading from the screen). I travel roughly 260-300 per week. My average fuel consumption at the station runs about 15 or so gallons at roughly $43-$50 depending on where I go and the going premium rate. The most I've gone on a full tank was just under 400 (the tank was under 5 gallons). My average speed is between on the highway is 60-75mph. What kills this car fuel consumption is the my need to feel the slight pushing sensation when I accelerate from a stop. This will get us everytime. The simpliest way to increase your gas mileage is to actually keep your speed within the limit, maybe ever 5 over. Seemed to work for me at least. Give it a shot. Think you'll be amazed at the results and the savings.
