LCD impossible to see with Sunroof open on a Sunny Day

I know this is a stupid post, but what do you guys do about this? I have my LCD to the brightest setting and when the sunroof is open on a sunny day, it's damn near impossible to see the LCD!

I think this is a standard problem with any LCD screen, if it's not sheltered from the sun. If I need my screen I don't have my sunroof open.

+1, I never really use it when the sunroof is open, I just enjoy driving and the open air...

If I really need to check something on the screen, I'd either overcast with my hand, or simply close the sunroof.

That's interesting. My G wil be the 5th car I have owned with a color display. All my vehicles have had a sunroof & I have never had a problem. Anyone else have prior vehicles to compare this screen to? What do you think of the screen overall? Would you watch a movie on it? Would you view digital pictures on it? Is it direct sunlight that is a problem or is bright daylight a problem?

Daylight viewable screens have been widely available for several years. They cost a bit more so I suspect in this price range of car they chose to save the pennies, sorta like the paper thin carpet. The good outweighs the bad though, I still plan on taking delivery by the 14th

Haha... I only open it during late night to see stars... I meant to feel the breeze.

if you change the background color it will help a lot. there are two settings for the background color. Try the other one.

Oddly enough, I don't have a problem with this... but I think my height and seating posture has something to do with this. All I have to do is tilt the screen forward, er... towards me

There is no tilting of the screen in the 07. I was out in the sunshine today & didn't really have a problem. The screen is decent but sadly not up to par with current aftermarket screens.
