Question How can I turn traction control totally off?

If I don't want traction control to interfear with my inputs whatsoever...what am I supposed to do?

There's times you want to use 300 horses in the wrong ways...like peeling out rear tires in standing place (with brakes on) or doing donuts. (in safe places) but none are possible to their full potential when traction control kicks in (even when you supposedly turn it off).

VDC on/off button is located next to the trunk button near your left knee. If you're not getting the slippage you desire, change your tires. Potenzas aren't made to atomize around every turn. I have no problem letting the tail end loose with VDC off, so maybe you need to check your technique.

+1 I haven't experienced traction control kicking back in if I turn off VDC.

Can any of you put your brakes on and hit the gas to spin the rear wheels while standing in place? Mine does it for maybe 3 seconds then cuts back...this is ovbiously with the VDC turned off to begin with.

Why would you do this without a line-lock on the front brake circuit? If you are fighting your rear brakes while you are trying to spin them.. The ABS has to be kicking in as the system thinks you are trying to stop and is backing off the throttle..

Ah okay that makes sense...I'm not too educated on ABS and how it affects a car with a DBW system. So if the ABS fuse is taken out, I'll probably be able to spin the wheels right?

Too bad you can't rent a 2007 G35 from Avis.
I wouldn't mind doing some first hand research on your premise

Umm unless you get a line lock for only the front brakes, by buring out with your foot on the brakes you are killing your rear brakes-

The traction control will still kick on when you hit the brake even with VDC off in a 6MT. The only way I have ever turned mine off is to do burnouts at the track and I pulled the ABS fuse.
