1st Time At track

Took the car to the track last night.

It was pretty fun. Immediately I got approached by a 335i owner to race, but they were too busy and closing soon, so he didnt wait for me, as I was quite a many cars behind him in line.

I believe I got late start at the line as they kind of rushed me and I hit the gas more on green than the 3rd yellow... I still smoked the car next to me though...

14.188 at 98.76mph

I'm confident I can get a high 13 time when I go back...

nice times....im confident i can do somewhere round 13.6 13.7 myself in my 07 g35S 6mt....people on the g35nyc forum seem to find that impossible but i think its pretty damn possible if an X did it in 13.9

so the car actually runs faster in the DS mode then in reg. automatic mode? is the g35 sport model with the paddle shifters any faster in the 1/4 mile?

DS mode is no different than D mode at WOT. You get the same rpm shifts in either mode. DS optimizes rpms by holding gear longer and shifting higher up in the rpm band when not at WOT.

car is no doubt fast. I haven't taken mine out to a track but in the streets, I have smoked tricked out civics, tricked out Frod F150s and a camaro, and bunches of Acuras TLs.

07 journey w/premium and 18' ASA
