Ran the car in DS mode and VDC off today and averaged 5.4s to 60 powerbraking the car and launching at about 2000 RPM (which seems about optimal). It was 85F today and only 70F during initial runs, so accounting for temperature DS mode and VDC off are marginally faster, but no major difference.

I am amazed at how easy this car is to repeat performance, all my runs using the same technique of powerbarking were within 2 1/100s of a second of each other.

What model do you have? I'm more concerned about the tires, do you have the 225s in the back or 245s?
How much of wheelspin with VDC off, talking about a chirp or more?

 

I havd a G35x, rears are 225s. There was an indication of traction issues (dash light), but could not hear or feel wheel spin.

 

I just did a stopwatch time and I clocked anywhere from 5.8 to 5.3.

 

I haven't done this but i did try the DS mode yesterday and boy does this thing pull!

racing fuel, how much do you fellas know about that? really increase perfomance that much? and if so is it safe to use in a stock car?

 

One cool thing about the G with auto tranny is we can do 0-60 all day long and the car is fine. Now try to do that with the evo or the STI, there will be issues with tranny, differential, or clutch etc...

Haha. Just kidding.

 

Race gas would not do much but wouldn't hurt. We gotta make sure we reset the ECU first. I may just do that and get G-Tech to see if it makes any difference.
