And, another update--it's been three months, after all.

The 2007 has improved a little, and is now just a bit worse than the average.

The 2008 is better than average.

TrueDelta has released updated Car Reliability Survey results for the Infiniti G35 AND G37. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 50; about average, large sample size

2007 sedan: 72, about average

Gen 1 cars seem to require fewer repairs than the current generation, despite their greater age. It's possible that the repair rate for the current cars will improve one a few initial problems drop out of the analysis, which always covers the past year.

A big thanks to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in May, August, and November, so additional participants would certainly be helpful.

TrueDelta now has a separate results page for each model that includes the scores of competitors for easy comparisons. The one for the Infiniti G35 / G37:

Number of owners signed up to help, by year:

2007: 128

2008: 148

2009: 14

While additional participants are always helpful, looks like we especially need more 2009s!

We have updated results for the G to include owner experiences through March 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 48, about average

2007 sedan: 65, about average

A big thanks to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

828 G35s and G37s now signed up. An excellent start, but need more 2009s to provide a full result for the current year. Additional participants for the 2007 and 2008 also helpful.

Better late than never, and I certainly appreciate your help.

We have updated results for the G to include owner experiences through June 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2009: small sample size, no repairs reported yet

2008: 45, about average

2007 sedan: 78, about average

Everyone who has been helping, thanks. We'll have further updates in November and February. The more participants we have, the better the information we can provide.

We'll have updated results again next month. Additional participants always helpful. Especially need more 2009s and (when they arrive) 2010s.

Updated results soon.

We're going to start providing new stats for the odds of requiring no repairs and the odds of getting a lemon. These require larger sample sizes, so additional participants would be helpful.

We have updated results for the G to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2009: 10, better than average

2008: 36, better than average

2007 sedan: 74, about average

We've also introduced two new statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

The percentage with no repairs is about 60 for the 2007, and 67 for the 2008, while the percentage of lemons is about 3 for the 2007 and less than one for the 2008. These stats require more data, so we don't yet have them for other model years.

Everyone who has been helping, thanks. We'll have further updates in February and May. The more participants we have, the better the information we can provide.
