As others have said, no one will fool an informed G35 driver into thinking they are driving the upscale, factory race modified version of the G35 sedan by removing a badge or two. At least as for today there are only 3 version. G35, G35x, G35S. The S looks different and no one is adding an X to their car so who would be fooled into thinking it's something else? Depends on where you live but if you are in a city were there are large pools of highend cars, you will find every one of the cars you listed debadged. AMG Mercedes for example don't use the SL600 badges they use SL65 AMG badges. I'm sure there are plenty Mercedes out there without SL600 badges or replaced with AMG badges replacing them. Keep in mind the drivers of those car. Most are 45 to 65 years old and are not interested in modifying anything. They just drive it to the office as is and are happy with it.

From looking at the ages of many people on this 07 G35 forum many are under the age of 25. This age group is more interest in this type of mod than people above that age group. I'm 38 and think removing the G35 looks cleaner. The younger set is more interested in radical changes than older folks. My father was in town whe I removed my badge this weekend and he did not understand why I'd do such a thing to a brand new car, later he agreed it looked better. He owns hotrods. His mod's would be different than mine. To each there own. It just has to be a personal choice.

I live in Atlanta, and I see M5's, M6's, Ferraris, Porsches, on a daily basis..... never seen one of them debadged. Hell, people pay extra for the scuderia emblems on their Ferraris.

lol, I was just joking around. I am guessing that if it was a nice new 911 Turbo, you wouldn't take the badges of of that and be mistaken for a lowly 911 Carrerra?

That's my point, when you see enough of them you'll see some that are debadged or rebadged. I love Ferrari's but had to look up Scuderia. For those who don't know what he is talking about it's a badge that was NOT originally on their Ferrari. That's called "rebadging". I guess it translates to "Ferrari Stable" or "Team Ferrari". I don't know I don't get Road and Track.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scuderia_Ferrari

Of people who modify cars, it's a small number on the whole (exept on forums ~ then there are plenty) but you'll find those BMW's, Mercedes, Ferrari's and Porsche debadged or rebadged but only a few, because there are so few in total. To speak in shear number there are 1000's or 10,000's more G35's than there are Ferrari 599's or Bugati Veyron. There's even a guy in this forum who debadged his $1.5M Veyron. yeah I know you are joking. I saw that road and track while at Infiniti the other day. Damn that car is tough!

Yep, sorry I should have explained what I meant. On the side of some Ferrari, 360's, 430's, etc (especially the Challange Stradale) you will see the Prancing Horse logo with the SF on the bottom. Those stickers (badges) are an option that people pay extra for.

You are right about the definition of Scuderia, The Formula 1 teams that run Ferraris are Scuderia Ferrari and Scuderia Torro Rosso, which translate to Team Ferrari and Team Red Bull.

I tend to think it goes the other way around actually. I tend to see more re-badged cars trying to be cars they are not than a clean looking "regular" version. I guess its just how someone takes it. I find that the M3 is the worst for this. I can't count how many M// Edition 3series I have seen... or GTR Ford Probes or all of that mess and would think de-badging is more classy. More like, people know what it is, there for I don't need to broadcast it. For everyone that doesn't know, they probably wouldn't notice or care what the hell it was in the first place. One of these days I'm going to do my car. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

No holes just a lot of glue holding the badges on. Get you some goo-gone your going to need it. Be careful just take slow and easy, shouldn't take more than 20 or 30 minutes.

or you can do what the other guy did - use your drivers license or some other card and WD-40. Took him 5 minutes.
