Oh, and the gauges, that blue corona just does it for me.

I like the way the shifter feels in my hand, and the soft cushy leather on the door side arm rests. I usually drive with my elbow on the arm rest, and I like how its soft and cushy.
I like the rosewood trim too, it looks tight. Not all cheap and plasticy like a lot of cars. I hate that shiny plastic looking trim you find in the Audi... looks just like the fake stuff Chevrolet uses.

My Choice
I just took my G35x on a 1500 mile road trip (2 days), and I have to say that my favorite part of the new G is that when I'm traveling 70 miles an hour on the highway, and I drop the car into 3rd gear, when I hit the accelerator, it feels like I'm on a roller coaster rocketing forward.
I also like the squishy armrest as previously mentioned.

I have lots of favorites about this car. I also agree with those mentioned thus far. One thing that hasn't been mentioned, and which I like about this car, is that it's not an extremely common car; i.e. it's not the type that you see around on every corner. In contrast, BMWs have gotten quite common and no longer elicit looks of awe from the general public. I've gotten looks and comments from strangers impressed with the car on first sight - something you don't get with other, even more expensive (but way too common) cars like BMW, Audi, etc. While the Infiniti brand is known by the general public as a high-end brand (aside: don't know why people like debadging the car), when many folks not necessarilly familiar with the G35 first see it, they think "wow" and assume right away that it must be a really good car (I've gotten that response from BMW-owning friends as well)!
Passerbys' reactions to the Infiniti G35 today is the type of reations that BMWs first elicited back in the 1980's when they were known as very good cars, but were not yet very common. At the time, they had that "alluring" "wow-factor" inducing feedback (for a lack of a better way too put it). IMO, the G35 illicits that same "wow" response from strangers. Enjoy it now. The G35's success may eventually make it more common in the future. It would still be a great car, just maybe not as gee-shucks inspring from strangers if and when it starts getting very ubiquitous.
