Hauling new G on trailer.. Suggest protectant tape?

Hi All, I just picked up my new G35 Friday, and this weekend I'm moving to Chicago, pulling the G on a trailer. I was thinking of getting some of that blue (I think it's blue) tape to protect it from rocks that fly off the back of the UHaul.. Anyone have experience with this stuff? Is it worth it? And most importantly, if it's good to get, where can I get it? I searched on the internet, but may not have used good search terms.

3M painters tape. it's cheap and you can get it anywhere..autozone, walmart, etc... just layer it and you'll be fine. it takes forever though. well worth it.

Cool, thanks.. I didn't think it would be that simple.

You might consider putting on a coat of wax / zaino or whatever to protect the paint - the blue tape is low-adhesive, but extra protection might be helpful.

^Wax it and put some Glad cling wrap and then the 3M tape garunteed you won't have any rock chips. Also you can put a car cover on the vehicle and just make sure it's secure.
