That's just total crap, the GTO was miles better than the F-Bodies. If anything you get CLK55 performance (although the updated CLK63 would hand the GTO it's ***) for about half the cost which is why M/T did the comparo in the first place. I remember that article (the one where they brakestand both cars right). People who say they don't stack up to a G35 are partially right...in terms of luxury appointments, NOT in terms of performance. The reason the Goat didn't get all of the Aussie market Monaro's options was because GM was trying to keep the price down. They were trying to attract former F-Body buyers with a car that simply costs more to build and as such they stripped them down (i.e. no sunroof option).

Don't ever let anyone around here tell you otherwise. I've driven my share of LSx vehicles and the Goat is simply a more refined beast over the F-Bodies. It's one major downfall is the fact that it's a pig checking in at 3800ish lbs. Sure it may not be as luxurious as the '07 G Sedan and the '08 G37, but it's about on par with the V35 gen Gs IMO. V35s aren't THAT pretty on the inside. Plus you can't argue with a 350hp LS1/400hp LS2.

BTW what year is your Goat? T-56 or 4L60? Oh and you're not allowed to post here anymore unless you upload pics. I wanna see.
