Shifter

Just me, or does the shifter on the auto trans stick up really high? I've looked at the M45 and the shifter sits nice and low - much better.

Can you get a shorter auto shifter?

+4 - Not too high to me. And feels better than the '06 shifter in the loaner I had yesterday (although the '06 sounded cool )

Mine is higher than most other cars I've driven but I got used to it now...

I think it's because the armrest -- at least on the AT version -- is high as well... if it was lower you'd have to strain to reach it.

I remember when I had my 05 maxima alot of ppl on that org were actually taking the shift **** off and cutting the post, then putting the ***** back on.

DMN that reminds me of the truck I learned to drive on. The shifter had a 1 foot throw from first to second. Great snow plow truck though.

Yes, it IS a bit high...

I tried driving my Honda Accord and it was so damn uncomfortable.

I'm very used to the high shifter since the armrest levels my arm perfectly with the shifter.

Were those hamdcuffs a factory option or did you need to order those aftermarket?

Damn... I wouldn't go that far...

I've seen people cut the shaft down and re-thread it, but I haven't seen anybody do one of our cars yet.
