Driver's side floor mat sliding

I love driving my G35, but I have this one nagging problem: The floor mat slides up and partially over the gas pedal every few days.

I've hooked the mat over that small pin, but it just isn't sturdy enough or tight enough to keep the mat from nearly immediately sliding partially over the gas pedal.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there some fix or hack for it?

had the same thing happen to me. the mat was almost covering the pedal. looks like the hole is too far back on the mat.

yeah, same here. poor design on their latch (or lack thereof) design on the mat. Maybe if there were two holes it would work better.

i cut a hole on the bottom right corner, and then unbolted the seat and just secured it when i bolted seat back in, problem solved

I bought a set of "Rubbertite" mats by Lloyd's through ebay, it's a thick rubber compound mat with little dimpled cups molded throughout the top (for holding on to muddy water on rainy days, etc.) and a hole already punched through the mat to match our floor pin location. But because of the tacky, rubbery compound plus hundreds of little needle-like nibs that grab onto the carpet underneath, it stays put already and the pin hole is just added insurance. Needless to say it does not move. At all...

Oh yeah they make one for the trunk which I bought also, cut perfectly to shape just like the floor mats were and also with the same little molded-in needles underneath. No move-y...

I've noticed the same thing. Maybe some velcro attached underneath would fix it.

i started using the all season floor mats. it never moves.

i now use the floor mats under the all season floor mats (it helps me to modulate the throttle). no movement.

Sliding Mats........?

Are you using after market mats? My OEM mats never move, but I only have
two doors and that little metal hook that keeps my mat in place!

I have a 4 door with factory floor mats and mines moves a little as well.

The little plastic tab actually broke off on mine - dealer replaced it with no problesm.

That's odd - mine never moves, have not experienced this problem.
